Sofia Vergara
Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara grew as a child in Barranquilla. Margarita Davila de Vergara is her mother. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo is her father. He raises cattle for the meat business. She is the youngest of five siblings. She was a student at a private bilingual school that taught Spanish as well as English. She then studied pre-dental. Sofia was discovered by a cameraman on the beach. She began work on television as well as modeling. The runway model was already in her prime when she was 23. She hosted the travel show Fuera de serie (1996) between 1995 and 1998. It brought her fame to American audiences. Her first appearance was in the crime drama Big Trouble. Gloria Delgado Pritchett, a role on the American television show Modern Family (2009), was her first major character. The actress won four Emmys from the years 2010 and 2013 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Comedy Series. Sofia is a resident of Los Angeles with her son Manolo.
