Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born August 20, 1974 in Aviano Italy American actor. Noted for critically acclaimed performance of charming and naive individuals. Adams was the daughter of an U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew to be a resident of Castle Rock Colorado. In the late 1990s, she started to act and dance professionally in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. When she moved to Minnesota and appearing in the mock-documentary film Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) about beauty pageants. The film's debut on screen was a bright-eyed but sweet contestant. Following that, she relocated her home to Los Angeles in order to make a name for herself as an actor. Her husband was the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 from September 1962 to June 1951 and her mother to Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Her film career started in late 1940s after she was hired by MGM. Her name was found by Norma Shearer. Leigh was a star in a variety of cult films over the next decade, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) and Living It Up (1954), starring Martin Lewis.
